Trainings and Webinars
All district and campus personnel who participate in state-mandated testing or handle secure test materials and content are required to be trained in test security and administration procedures. Training should be provided annually to ensure a standardized test administration and the best testing experience for Texas students. Annual training is especially important for understanding and implementing new or updated policies and procedures. It is imperative that all individuals participating in the Texas Assessment Program preserve the integrity of test content and student data through strict adherence to the instructions and procedures contained in these Coordinator Resources and the test administration materials. Lack of annual training typically results in testing incidents that may impact students' test scores, campus and district accountability ratings, and, ultimately, an educator's teaching certificate.
In addition to the required training, optional training modules on test security are available in the Learning Management System (LMS). The Student Assessment Division coordinates with the Technology Alliance for Statewide Initiatives (TASI) to present webinars on timely topics throughout the school year, including program updates and additional training. District staff should contact their education service centers (ESCs) to register and access the webinars.

Regional Testing Coordinator Training
Regional coordinators are required to be trained in test security and administration procedures. Annual training is especially important for understanding and implementing new or updated policies and procedures. On September 10, 2025, Texas Education Agency (TEA) staff will host the annual ESC training for regional testing coordinators covering all components of the Texas Assessment Program for the 2025–26 school year. Following a “training of trainers” model, regional coordinators train district testing coordinators. District coordinator training should be completed by the recommended dates on the Calendar of Events.
Recordings of and Microsoft PowerPoint presentations from the 2025–26 ESC training will be posted in LMS.
