TEA defines accommodations as changes to materials or procedures that enable students to participate meaningfully in learning and testing. TEA accommodation policies may apply to any student taking TELPAS who meets eligibility criteria based on his or her educational needs. These policies are divided into the following three main categories:

  • accessibility features

  • designated supports

  • designated supports requiring TEA approval
