Calendar of Events
The Calendar of Events identifies key dates for required assessment programs. House Bill 8 eliminated the restriction on Monday testing for week 1 of STAAR testing windows. Therefore, for additional scheduling flexibility, STAAR testing windows in the PDF of the Calendar of Events linked below have been updated to include Monday of week 1. Note that the printed Calendar of Events that has already been shipped to districts is not being updated.

Trainings should be completed by the recommended dates, but additional trainings may be completed after the recommended dates if necessary. Regional testing coordinator training is provided by TEA and offered on one date only.
Specific due dates for ensuring that all eligible students are registered in TIDE are listed by administration. The number of test administrator manuals included in a district’s initial order will be based on the number of students registered in TIDE by the due date indicated.
Initial orders of secure paper materials for TELPAS reading are based on the number of students indicated for a special paper administration in TIDE by the due date listed.
The testing windows for the STAAR spring administration are defined by content-area grouping; however, most of the pre-administration activities are scheduled together, and all post-administration activities are scheduled together. Although there are three separate testing windows based on content-area grouping, these testing windows are considered one administration.
Specific due dates for district testing personnel to enter or adjust score code information in TIDE to ensure all eligible students have been accounted for are listed for each testing window. Students not accounted for by the due dates will not be included in accountability reports.
Specific due dates for district testing personnel to submit student responses for paper administrations and ratings for holistic administrations are noted for each testing window. Responses and ratings not processed by the due date will not be scored.
Results are reported in three phases: assessment results, administration reports for data verification, and final administration reports for accountability. Student-level assessment results may be used by district testing personnel for making student-level decisions. Administration data verification reports may be used for data verification, and final administration reports for accountability will reflect changes made during the data verification window.
Reporting dates for spring 2026 are dependent on the availability of approved performance standards for STAAR grades 5 and 8 science, STAAR biology, STAAR Alternate 2 grades 5 and 8 science, and STAAR Alternate 2 biology.
