Trainings and Webinars
All district and campus personnel who participate in state-mandated testing or handle secure test materials and content are required to be trained at least once in test security and administration procedures. In addition to this required training, optional training modules are available in the Learning Management System (LMS).
In addition, the Student Assessment Division coordinates with the Technology Alliance for Statewide Initiatives (formerly the Texas Education Telecommunications Network) to present webinars on timely topics throughout the school year, including program updates and additional training. District staff should contact their education service centers (ESCs) to register and access the webinars.

Regional Testing Coordinator Training
Regional coordinators are required to be trained in test security and administration procedures at least once. However, annual training is strongly encouraged, especially for new and updated policies and procedures. On September 29, 2023, Texas Education Agency (TEA) staff will host the annual ESC training for regional testing coordinators covering all components of the Texas Assessment Program for the 2023–2024 school year. Following a “training of trainers” model, regional coordinators train district testing coordinators. District coordinator training should be completed by the recommended dates on the Calendar of Events.
Recordings of and Microsoft PowerPoint presentations from the 2023–2024 ESC training will be posted in LMS.
